Finding Alfie: A Free 2-Minute Script About Being Trans

Image
Recently I lost a bunch of work and had to take copies out of emails. I came across some two minute films we never got the chance to make. I feel like this one, in particular, deserves to be made. Feel free to borrow and use the script as long as you give full credit.   This is a simple piece designed only to give a snippet into a life.   Finding Alfie   A two-minute short script by Katriona MacMillan   1. INT, ALFIE'S BEDROOM, NIGHT.   The room is dimly lit by a lava lamp and the light from the PC. The camera swoops into the room as if peeking into his life. It slowly passes an Xbox, a few discarded old DVDs, some clothes and a skateboard, it comes to rest slowly on a boy’s feet. Coronavirus has had us all go through some fairly traumatic experiences. I felt it was my duty to document this in a way that only a writer would think of. The metal on the slide is hot to the touch… but there are no kids in the swing parks. No kids roasting their fi...

First Reviews of the Online Content Writer's Handbook!

I had a wonderful review come back this week from the lovely Laura. For privacy reasons I will leave out her full name. She has my eternal thanks for volunteering to review me! I have added in a few photos to make it a blog-worthy event but, I have to be honest here, she smashed it out of the water. She sent a review of how to write online content, in online content writing format. If that's not 100% commitment, I don't know what is. Without further ado, here is the first non-Amazon (thanks Helen!) review of The Online Content Writer's Handbook . I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did! " Writing a review of “The content writer’s handbook” using the tools of said book “The content writers handbook” offers information to readers about writing reviews, blogs, web content and other online formats. Expectations Very occasionally I take the time to sit down and write, mainly reflective accounts as a health care professional.   I’d looked into the...
